Installing an additional SSD

Hi all,
I'm totally new to this so need some help.
I'd like to install an additional SSD to my computer. I already have an 1TB HDD and a 850EVO 500GB.

I purchased another 850EVO and want to install it. Never done it before. So I opened the computer and tried finding a sata slot (probably have the wrong terminology) but it looks like none are available anymore. One go to my HDD, one to my SSD and one to my disk drive.

My CPU is Intel Core i5-4690K.

Does it mean I cannot install an additional SSD? If I have to remove my DVD drive, I will. Never used it.

Solution
Unhook one and put that on the bottom and the top one is free. It looks like 3 but you have 6. Get yourself a bright flashlight and look real close.

Did you look and read your specs?


1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x16 (PCIEX16)

If you don't have enough sata connectors the only option is a pcie sata card. it will take up a pcie slot and will have sata on it. The other choice is to unhook your optical drive.

* Due to system limitation, Intel RAID and Marvell RAID can only use either one.

So you have more than 6 but if you install a m.2 slot drive it takes 2 sata ports away.

It takes port 4 and 5 away if you have a m.2 slot card but you still have other free ports.
