So Its a Win10 64bit pc, I used macrium free version for cloning. Im going from a 1t to a 2t with no partitions created(no recovery parts either oops). When starting the clone I think I remember an option for a quick clone vs a full clone and I chose quick as I think it was the default choice. Anyway the clone completed it gave the option to assign the drive letter so I changed the new 2t to be primary c: but when I restarted it would get to the screen with the beach wallpaper and time before you sign in and locks up here and the screen started to flicker on and off similar to a gpu crash. I shutdown and unplugged in the old drive thinking there might be a conflict but same results. So now I figured it was a bad clone and ill just do it over plugged it back in and tried booting from it in bios but now this drive won't load completely. It gets past the blue windows logo but hangs on a black screen with the spinning dots doesn't flicker but wont go past this. Now I unplugged the new 2t and the 1t still hangs on black with dots. Ive tried running a repair on both with no success. I have a windows 10 install usb so im now booting from it to atleast get to command prompt but im lost on how to get it working from here. Id prefer to preserve the old 1t while I use the new one for atleast a day and feel there are no problems so my priority is to get the old one working.

Solution
If you are using the original drive that worked fine, and it now does not work, the issue is likely with something else. Maybe bad RAM.

Is this a desktop or a laptop? Is the drive on the original SATA port and cable it was installed on?
