I need confirmation from someone with SLI and plays Witcher 3

I have noticed that there isn't sli support anymore on the latest NVidia drivers... at least for me. can anyone else support this or confirm this. Trying to find out of its just my rig or what....

I have contacted NVidia and they say that its still supported. but mine doesn't have that option.

it depends on what GPU you have i believe there is no SLI support on geforce GPU's lower then 1070

I have 2 gtx 970s... .I had sli for months... now with every update since 376.53, there isn't sli support. 376.53 was the last update that supported it on my rig

but only for the witcher.... any other game that has sli supported... I have it.

Download and run DDU (Display drivers uninstaller) in windows safe mode.

Then download fresh copy of Nvidia drivers, using advanced option, but exclude Geforce Experience.

SLI now supported?

Another question: What are the precise manufacturer and models of each GTX 970?

whats wrong with GeForce experience? I have done a fresh install and still get the same results...

in the NVidia control panel it says alternate frame rendering instead of sli like it use to.

EVGA brand... ill have to find the box and look at the model number

Can someone just comment if your control panel still has the witcher 3 sli option available.... mine says alternate frame rendering. There isn't an sli option like there was prior.

I'll try to remember to fire it up when I get home tonight, I know that I still have an SLi option in the NV control panel.

That's only in the 10xxx series, older cards are not affected or at least they shouldn't be (and mine aren't).

i confirmed with a friend last night who also has 2 970s and the witcher 3, he confirmed that what Im experiencing isnt just me. His nvidia control panel also has no option under sli mode for sli....his only shows alternate frame rendering 1 or 2.

So at least its not just me.

i have, that's why I posted a thread here because they are saying that its still enabled. They really don't understand what Im talking about.... Every time I contact them I get a foreigner who I can tell knows nothing about computers or their products. They keep telling me that sli should still be supported. obvioiusly, its not.

well the only thing i can suggest is remove the drivers and install an older version of NVIDIA drivers to confirm yourself.

an older driver does work, im just curious on how no one else has caught this before me. I have known this since November, but just now getting to doing something about it. Thanks for your help.

An Older driver will work but like a 6 to 7 month old driver.
