My dumb friend dropped my drive

Recently i had a friend sitting at my desk and he turned my chair and ended up kicking my pc. The thing is there was a drive on top. The reason its there is because I have nowhere else to store it and its being put in very soon anyway. Its a 500 GB internal HDD and fell about 15 inches onto carpet. Im wondering if the drive should be ok.

Fell onto carpet from about 15 inches? Should be fine. Drives are made to withstand quite a few G forces. A 15 drop onto even hardwood flooring should have been fine too. Provided the drive wasn't active and transferring data at the time.
