Can I run a Zotac 1080 Amp! Extreme with a Zotac 1080 Arctic Storm in SLI?

I have the Amp! Extreme and instead of getting a 1080ti I want to just get another 1080. The Arctic Storm version (water cooled and the Amp! Extreme isn't) is now cheaper than ever before so I want to buy it. Would there be any issues running the two in SLI. It's the same chip so I wouldn't think so. Please let me know if I am being stupid. Thanks

The silly thing you're trying to do is run an air cooled GPU and a watercooled GPU in SLI, do you plan on watercooling the second GPU as well? I'm referring to the AMP! Extreme not the Arctic Storm card. In essence you can SLI both but the clock speeds will be limited to the one running the lower clocks. On that note, you don't want to SLI since not all game developers support it on their titles and the number of titles that do support it is few to none.

Why not just pick up a second GTX 1080 AMP! Extreme? Last thing, you're also going to need more juice since an 2-way GTX1080 SLI will draw 750W's of power.
