Copied and pasted my files from C drive to D drive because C was full and D had allot of storage but the files transferr but C

my c drive was full and i couldn't open apps. mt d drive (Data) had like 2 terabytes so i copied and pasted my c drive to my d drive and they moved but my c drive is still full and my apps still will not open because of insufficient storage. Using Windows 10 on Asus computer

What on c did you copy over? you can't just copy applications over like that, for instance, but if you moved documents or other files it would work.

also, copy doesn't move files, it just copies them.
