So im going to be upgrading my FX-8350 with https://pcpartpicker.com/list/2rB6LD
I game currently on a 1080p monitor with your main steam games, no streaming or video rendering.
But I do love my chrome tabs :D
What ram is good a lot of people buy the Kingston HyperX FURY Black but what speed is good for gaming 2133MHz or 2400MHz?
Should I get 16gb or 8gb or my use case?

Solution
And now, back to the thread after the argument:

2400 MHz is perfectly fine. 3200mhz wouldn't hurt. It's 25% more bandwidth at not a whole lot of cost difference.

I'd recommend Gskill ripjaw V as they tend to be the lowest cost per GB.

8gb will do you alright, but I'd personally say 16gb. Get either one in a 2x4 or a 2x8 or 4x4 format. Don't get a single stick by itself.

I recommend 3200mhz because it's the highest you can go in the 100:100 BCLK to dram frequency ratio, and it's easy on 6th and 7th gen intel chips since they run at 100 BCLK.

who says im being aggressive? maybe don't be so defensive?

it was a legitimate question

edit - i even said "please"

Your replies do sound aggressive..
Sometime when increasing the clock speed of the CPU, the clock speed of the RAM also increases, at this point it's better to have RAM that is verified to run at high speeds, so you don't get any crashes because of it.

stop ganging up on me guys!

if you increase base clock (and not CPU multiplier) and the memory controller is integrated into the CPU then your ram speed will increase. if the memory controller isn't tied to the CPU and instead is off-chip like skylke and kaby lake, your ram speed would not increase. that's why increasing base clock on sandy bridge, ivy bridge and haswell wasn't really an option because they all had an IMC (integrated memory controller) and it would mess with all sorts of stuff other than just the clock speed of the CPU. which is not to say i disagree with you about faster memory aiding a better CPU overclock...i just wanted to know where that's coming from and if it's really true.

sheesh
