I was thinking bout doing a give away but in return having people sub and watch my videos to help me get more stuff and do more giveaways and cycle continues. Would you follow that?

Very much in support of dangus's post.

If you want to get a million subs and manage to do so you will still be far behind.

So maybe you setup a rule that you will award something (Xbox One) based on a random drawing from the first 100 or 1,000 subscribers that sign up. And then do some prescribed number of views.

Just not worth it to me. Sorry.

Focus on establishing an honest, quality site. Get the rankings and then you may be able to "profit".

I don't get your analogy. What I was thinking was growing a youtube channel where I just do gives aways but in return I ask for views and subs and I also get paid to get more stuff for later on.

yeah that's not a bad idea in theory. but how to you get people to promise they will sub just because you're giving away free goodies? i know, at least for myself, that a lot of people will just take the stuff and run unless you're really putting out some quality material

what kind of following do you have on youtube already? giving away consoles and hardware isn't exactly cheap and there are a bunch of people who already do that kind of thing
