Hello.

Long story short, I bricked my card attempting to unlock some performance. I've tried everything to fix it, (nothing worked) apart from this solution here. My only concern is whether or not it is safe, and I also some extra detail on what to do. So, can you please tell me 1. Is it safe? 2. Does it work? 3. What EXACTLY do I do? Note that the OP says it works on all 400 series cards.

Thank you very much.

If anyone is wondering, I have the Sapphire RX 460 2gb Dual Fan.

My standard for if something works: If there is a Youtube video, preferably more than one, where someone shows themselves doing it then it works. If you can't find videos of someone doing it, or if the videos are edited in such a way that it could be fake, then it doesn't work. People can't help showing off, that's why there'd be videos of it.

There's plenty of people putting GPU's in the microwave, rarely works, always destroys the microwave.

That's when you look at the comments. Seems to work for most. Good point though.

You put a dead GPU in the oven, not the microwave, this guy is clearly joking.

No... its not.

Do not put metal in a microwave.

Those are convection ovens.
Same size and shape as a microwave, but not a microwave.
It's a regular oven, just way smaller.

Some microwaves can be used as a convection oven. Basically its like a hot air cooker. Thats what you are seeing.

NEVER microwave electronics.

The oven wouldn't fix a failed bios flash (would it?) so obviously I didn't do that. But is it possible to get someone to physically fix it? Or replace the BIOS chip?
