I recently built a new gaming PC. I replaced my i5-7600k with the i7-7700k just recently and I had to take away the CPU from the motherboard socket. I'm waiting for my i7 to arrive on Wednesday but my question is concerning the pins. I covered up the socket with the protector but I have my Tower sitting upright as it should. Will that in anyway harm my pins in the socket? Should I just lay it flat on the desk and wait until I get my CPU? Should I worry?
