Hey guys. So I'm trying to overclock my 1070. I don't really know what I'm doing. I watched a few youtube videos and read a few articles, but I still don't think I understand it too well. I'm using MSI Afterburner, and so far, here are my settings.

Voltage - 50
Power Limit - 110
Max Temp - 91c
Core - 100
Memory - 400
Fan - Auto

So I have a few questions:
1. The temperature stays at about 70c when I benchmark. Is that ok?

2. Should I decrease the voltage? I'm not really sure how it works or if I even really need to have it enabled. I just watched a few videos, and it seemed like voltage can help get rid of artifacts.

3. What is a reasonable number for my core and memory to be at? Because when I run the benchmark, I get some artifacts. But when I run a game like Siege, it doesn't give me any problems.

4. Should I leave my power limit at 110, or should I lower it to the level that it uses when I benchmark it?

5. I have a i5 6600K that isn't overclocked. Could this be bottlenecking my performance? I also want to overclock that, but not really sure where to start with it. I could definitely use some tips.

I'm open to all suggestions, and any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Wait what? You added 50mV to core clock? That's far too high man! If stressing the gpu reports artifacts then you MUST low something down! i don't think that's because of the 100 mhz you added but man, 50 mvs are too much. First of all, let the power limit to 110%, then leave the STOCK voltage and start adding 15 mhz, stress it out for at least 20/25 minutes. No artifacts? Temps BELOW 80/85 C? Fine, add some mhz to your core and repeat. Artifacts? Time to add some mvs. Add + 5 mvs and repeat. No artifacts? More mhz ;) . Your high temps and artifacts on benchmark are quite surely due to too much overvolting.
Once you reach your limit on core clock stard adding mhz to vram in the same way. I usually never add more than 15mvs. On my...

Thanks man. That actually helps me a lot. I'll try doing that.
