Do I need up do a bios update with new cpu?

as lone as your motherboard bios is at or above the bios needed for the use of that 7700 then no ????

find the cpu you want to use I your case the 7700k and see that cpu is supported beginning with bios [F20]
now go back to downloads choose your OS [I assume win-10 64] then choose the BIOS selection and get this

so with that you see if your board has any bios other then F20 or F21 then you would need to first flash the bios to one of them 2 in order fro the 7700k to be supported

you should first make sure whoever makes that motherboard has put out an update that allows it to work with the newer 7th gen CPU's and if so yes you will need to update to it before installing it or it will not boot

in your manual on page 21 you see it shows what bios is running /installed [the example bios screen shot shows that example has f2 bios installed ]
