I had my pc build for more than 3 years now, but since last week my temperatures are going way above normal (40 to 50 in iddle) and when I am playing any game the pc just freezes. I alredy cleaned all my cpu, but the problem still goes on, any suggestions?

Specs:
Intel i5 3570k
GeForce GTX 670 on GK104 GPU
8gb of RAM
Asus P8Z77-M
Corsair TX850
(I do not overclock)

Check temperatures. If you used a push-pin cooler such as the stock one, you may have nudged the heatsink and broken the thermal paste bond between the CPU and heatsink in the process. I ran into a similar issue with my Core2Duo.

Applying aftermarket paste to the stock HSF may not work as tolerances for sufficient mounting pressure may be too tight to successfully use runny aftermarket stuff.
