Hey I am trying to build a multitasking/gaming rig with a 3 monitor setup. Ive been browsing but I want to know what the best way to go about this is and the best parts to get. The budget I have is around $900 - $1200 with monitors included. Just not really sure where to start with this. Thanks for all the help.

Solution

You could go over budget a small bit and get the 1070 which should be much better for gaming on 3 monitors.

I would stick with the Ryzen as Intel has nothing under $400 that even holds a candle to the 8 cores in multitasking. That then with an intel 6 ocre requires a $200 min motherboard. For under $1200 the 480 with a system build is the only game or a 1060 possible but that would lock you down to only 1 card. Even poorly optimized games on the Ryzen are i5 or better. Also its been demo'ed that only at 1080p does the quads stands a chance which 3 1080p monitors is beyond them taking any advantage
