Hey Guys!

I am rebuilding my computer and I'm going for a white & black build.
This is my list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Ympwpb

NOTE: I have a 2x4GB HyperX Fury 2133 spare. The EVGA 1050 Ti 4GB SSC (Dual Fans) is also a spare. I will upgrade eventually to a 1080.

Pretty much my question is would this new rebuild be future proof for at least 5 years? I know this may be overkill to the full but It's something I've always wanted to do.

Thanks Guys!

Interesting! I've had this PSU for the past 4 years, running like a champ (knock on wood)

It should last 4/5 years cant see into the future so who knows.
I don't approve of the water cooler, been their done that and went back to high end air.
I would also change the power supply since this one is better quality for about the same price. (I have the 650 watt model one in my PC).

Ah, I didnt see CXM for some reason. They upgraded the M series vs the CX series. The CX series had problems with capacitors burning out. You should be fine, I didn't notice you already had the parts. I assumed you were buying new. Also, albert recommended a Ryzen CPU, which at this point, isn't as good as the 7700k for gaming. Stick with your list.

Must be an older series than. OOPS.

Given the 1700 can OC to about 3.8ghz on the stock wraith cooler put the extra on a top GPU.

I would also not even consider a Zen build.
