pc above, swapped in 2-3tb Toshiba internal hard drives, an r9 380x gpu, Asrock H170m mobo, G Skill 16gb ddr4 ram, i5 6600 cpu.
I just swapped power supplies, as I incorrectly thought my CX600 was coil whining, which turned out to be a hard drive making a similar noise. Now, I got a Seasonic, but newegg cancelled it en route, so I priority mailed myself an EVGA 600 BQ psu, out of sheer frustration. Cancelled the order for the Seasonic one, and installed the BQ.
Now, a couple weeks after getting the psu, it starts this low rumbling sound. It basically rumbles the wood of my desk around the case. It's this low hum/rumble noise. Thing is, it goes through a pattern in which the rumble slowly picks up over maybe a ten second period, reaches it's peak of noise for maybe 10 seconds more, then over the next 10 seconds the rumble dissipates, until after another 10 seconds, it ramps right back up. Extremely annoying, and I want it to stop.
So, should I just RMA this psu, and get the seasonic one after all? Why could this be rumbling so much?
