2 Years ago I had a 1TB HDD,

I upgraded to two NEW 1TB HDD's in Raid 0, copied OS using some partition manager tool, made a mess of partitions didn't know what I was doing, but it worked so I lived with it.

Fastforward 2 years today.

All the components for my NEW PC are coming from NCIX Tomorrow. Except a harddrive as I thought I would reuse one.

Plan is for 1 to stay in current PC and move one to my new PC, and new windows on both of course.

What is the easiest way to unformat a drive completely removing half its raid 0 contents and an absolute mess of a drive. and will this be possible and easy?

I assume there is some bootable linux usb tool for this? I can borrow a friends PC and use windows if there would be a way to fix this mess in windows too.

Whats the best way for this?

Is it possible to do on another windows PC?

also a pic of this mess

Solution

Ah, no problem.

Take the drive out
Put it in the new system
Boot from your OS install media
When it asks 'where', select Custom
You will be presented with a list of all existing partitions
Select each one, Delete. Leaving one large empty space..
Let Windows install to that, creating what it needs.
