Hello,

Selling my used EVG GTX 980 and I'm unsure what to put it on craigslist for. Was thinking $250 or $225.

Solution

I just checked ebay.. your right.. so I checked out the titan as well.. 500...

do you know how many idiots are out there?

people buy reguarly a GAMINGGGGG PC with an athlon with 4!!!!! cores 700 dollars.

If they are going for that on Craigslist, then I would list it right around there. I can tell you I personally would not pay a dollar more than $180 for a used 980, considering I can get a brand new 1060 with a 3 year warranty for $220.

of course, people honestly believe that there is such a thing as GAMING MB :)
And they scared that a bottleneck will steal their cookies and destroy their internet and PC and will kill the grandma.

But you have a point. I should have phrased it a bit differently.
If OP wants to sell it ASAP - 150$
If he does not care, start at 300$

Its been three years since buying my 980.. sure prices do drop.. for used cards.. its the sellers point of view what they think they could sell there cards for.. I see you as lucky in buying a 980ti.. for under 300 that's a real bargain.. Now someone should contact Nvidia in giving there fans a fire sale on outdated video cards.. Really my suspensions Nvidia is just re-branding old cards into new stock, proving this concept is unlikely..

In my area, there are a ton of 980 ti at $250. I've even seen a few as low as $200. You can snag for $250 on ebay as well. The listings asking for more don't move.

I just checked ebay.. your right.. so I checked out the titan as well.. 500 bucks.. not bad.. but the trust factor is questionable.. having something that pricey shipped.. and hopefully the card runs afterwards..
