These are my current specs:
MOBO: asus m5a97 r2.0
CPU: amd fx-6350
GPU: msi rx-480 8g gaming x
RAM: 8gb ddr3
HDD: Samsung 850 evo 250gb + 1TB
PSU: 600w

I'm thinking about upgrading my cpu. The thing is, my budget is pretty low. I don't want to spend more than 200e on this. Should I go for fx-8xxx series? Or swap both cpu and mobo and buy intel? Should I wait for zen?

If you want you can use this website to search for lowest prices in my country: heureka.sk
Google did good job translating it.

Thank you for you answers.

I think you're answer is contained in another question: What are you hoping to achieve with the upgrade?

Be specific. "Better performance" for example is not specific. It could be that an 8xxx upgrade is all you need, it could be you need a new CPU/motherboard/ram combo. No one knows without knowing what you're trying to do.
Going from your current CPU to an FX-8xxx/9xxx will pretty much only add you two extra cores, which for gaming at least it won't yield you any noticeable performance increase, so if gaming is what you wanna do your best bet is to get an Intel i5, we're talking around 370$~400$ or so for new mobo+cpu+DDR4 ram.

AMD's Ryzen is already out but they cost more than an i5 and specifically for gaming they are on par with an i5-6600k which is considerable cheaper so not really appealing for it, however if you look an improvement for rendering, virtualization and such then definitely Ryzen is the way to go.

I believe Ryzen 7 was never meant to be gaming cpu. What I meant when I was talking about Ryzen was upcoming Ryzen 5.

Ryzen 5 will be a cheaper version of the Zen architecture, similar to Intel's i5 vs their i7 processor line.
