This is a perfectly adequate build for full ultra gaming at 1080p for all titles and 1440p for some titles. Your power supply and motherboard gives you nice headroom for future upgrades. Your CPU choice is good, because if you decide to upgrade to a GTX 1080, your CPU can still keep up. If I absolutely had to criticize anything, I would swap your cooling system with the NZXT kraken x42 or the Corsair H100i. Other than that, you have yourself a great build capable of great things! Ignore the above post in regards to water cooling imo, it's a waste of money unless you're going top end and want something that looks fancy, a good air cooler will get the same job done at a significantly better price/performance metric.
If you want to save up another 100, you can get yourself a 7700k and 1080ti.
What is your budget for a monitor btw?
You'll want a 1440p 144hz display.
The extra threads on an i7 will give you greater performance, and it will run at 4.2GHz regardless if you don't go for the 7700k.

Keep that G2 650W. Your build may not need that much power, but the cutout on the PSU cover of the ProM will look badly if used with PSU shorter than 160mm (the PSU end of the modular cables will be visible).

But consider switching to the Arctic Liquid Freezer 240 instead.

Also, consider switching to the ASUS Z270-A that will also fit into the B/W color of the case and the AIO.

These should save you ~£60, although you may want to add an additional 140mm fan to the front.

Yeah, because £33 more to get more cooling performance than Cryorig top-of-the-line air cooler, the R1 Ultimate, is too much. Can't have that happening now, can't we.

Getting four 120mm fans for that prices is too much that we have to drop down to a single 120mm even when a Noctua NH-U12S @ Full Fan + ASROCK Z270 Extreme4 @ Motherboard Defaults with a 7700k result in 55 degrees over ambient.


As for the PSU: Just see how a 150mm long PSU would look inside the ProM before you keep screaming about the watts.

Contrast that with a 160mm PSU. And the 650W G2 is just a bit longer at 165mm.

Not to mention your "1080ti and 7700 for just under 1250 quid" was a result of big cut down on the motherboard as well. And having a MB with RED ram slots on a mostly black/white build with a large window; what an aesthetic bankrupt idea that would be.

Wait, what are you going to say with those RED Corsair LPX? Didn't you know that the Phanteks ProM shipped with two 140mm Black/White fans?

It's utterly clear that you have no idea how that case look when you go on about putting those parts together.

If I was here to 'win' I wouldn't have pointed out the downfalls of having an AIO over performance, I'm here to help the OP get the best performance for his money, not to waste it on just water cooling because its fancy.
Not here because of some stupid point counter on the internet, here to help people, stop this argument.
