Built a pc ground up. Has an Asus z170-ar motherboard with an i5 6600k 3.5ghz 4 core with a coolermaster cooling fan. Has 2 8gb ripjaw ram sticks. Has a nvidia GeForce gtx 1050 to graphics card. Has 1tb hdd. Got it all hooked together loaded windows 7 home 64 bit onto it. Loaded both graphics card and mother board disks up. Installed Windows updates. Yet it is still sluggish. What have I missed or not done

Solution
No there is no difference in the Windows builds.

Go to start and type "msconfig" in the search - stop any unneeded programs from booting (search on Google if not sure).
If you have any cracked software that modifies the registry, remove them.

Try booting safe mode and see if it is still slow.
What are the specs on the HDD?

The multitasking is super slow. Opening anything up is slow.

Not overclocking. I have a corsair cx500 psu.
CPU % jumps from 1-7. I have internet open and task manager running when I checked.

Also I used my windows 7 disk from my All in One I had. Could that be an issue? I dont need it on the all in one anymore.
