Skyrim ENB Crashing when pressing 'Play'

I'm brand new to skyrim and the modding community in it's whole form is very intimidating and overwhelming, and the first mod i've tried to download and install, enb, is crashing when i hit 'Play' in the menu. I've looked all over the place and can't find someone with my exact problem. I've constantly heard of an SKSE.ini file, in which doesn't even exist in my library and i don't know why (i've even installed SKSE from steam and have yet to come across an SKSE.ini). Please help, i'm very confused.

SKSE is a script extender for Skyrim, this is needed to run certain mods and can be downloaded here http://skse.silverlock.org/. The easiest way to install it is to download the 7z archive, unzip it and place the contents in you main Skyrim folder(where the launcher is), the "Data" folder will merge. To start the game you then click the skse-loader app instead of the launcher. Many mods require parent mods before they can run and the game will crash if the parent is uninstalled. The best way to check this is to download Nexus Mod Manager http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/modmanager/?. Once set up that will show what mods are installed. If your installed ENB is listed in red it will need a parent mod and will tell you which to...

wait skyrim is crashing when you play it with mods installed? i don't believe it!!!

just kidding, a bit. skyrim with mods is just ridiculously unstable. don't waste too much of your time

id suggest just trying to enjoy the game with mods you can get to work, if none at all. unless you like to rip your hair out. if you're one of THOSE people...

I personally do not like ENBs, they IMO tend to over saturate colours and slow down performance.

unfortunately stubbornness is one of my issues, especially when it comes to my own limitations
