I have a 3000aud saved up and I like gaming so I thought I should upgrade, I usually like staying up with the new technology that surrounds gaming and I saw that the ryzen and 1080ti are way ahead of its competitors for gaming so what motherboard should i get?

Solution
Not much problem with compatibilities between a GPU and a motherboard these days. Any motherboard with a PCIe x16 slot should be able to support any GPU's out there (as all are plugged in a PCIe x16 slot).

I'd be more concerned about the GPU's compatibilitiy with the 1) CPU (in case you chose a weak CPU that might bottleneck the powerful GPU), 2) PSU (the power draw of the GPU and other components as well as the number of 6-pin or 8-pin connectors), 3) Case (the length clearance allowed by the chassis you choose), and 4) Monitor (a powerful GPU deserves a fast/high res monitor).

I have the ROG Crosshair VI Hero and Ryzen 7 1800X CPU. ASUS make the best MBs for OCing imo.
