So my friends father used his account by somehow connected through his yahoo account through his account.
it looks like him using an business account through his and now it seems to be linked. his father is a dick and won't tell him his password. mean while he has school stuff and other things that are connected with his account and computer
its a windows 8.1, i can't seem to change user accounts. i can't get into safe mode like windows 7 used to be. the only way i have been able to access the user files/folders is using linux live cd
i've managed to use the terminal to get into the sam under "/Windows/System32/config" and managed to clear the account password and even unlock it. although i have done all this, it is still asking for the old password that was used online with his fathers account.
i am not really certain what to lookup in terms of keywords, and if there is a way to trick the registry or fix his account so it no longer does this and returns back to normal.
