Hi, thanks for taking the time to look at my thread!

So here in the UK we have alot of older buildings as many of you can guess. These houses generally had fireplaces incorperated into them and whilst being retired and made into blank ventelation crevacises in my living room and spare room i had a strange idea of fitting a few servers into one as mine are relatively deep inwards. This would leave room for ventalation out the back and the fact that hot air rises, surely it would travel up the chimney way and disprese out? Or am i being abit thick? I have plenty of intake airflow that would be able to enter and it would allow for more static pressure if sealed off would it not? (this is having the entire old frieplace sealled by servers for the most part) Bearing in mind that aesthitics does not bother me, would this be feasable?

Thanks again, jake.

Yes its feasable if you can cope with how it will look but how about how it will sound??? Servers are noisy beasts. Also be aware of the crap that falls back down firestacks!!!
