Hi,

I recently rendered my transcend 64gb USB pen drive unusable by pulling it out while attempting to transfer a file to it. I cannot access the disk management interface on my computer while the usb is plugged in because it doesn't load, so cannot check to see if it still has contents. When i click the drive letter nothing happens except my file explorer will have a loading symbol for around 15 minutes.

Is this worth trying to fix? id be surprised if such a common mistake could ruin the whole thing, but none of the fixs on google have been helpful yet.

You found the biggest problem with USB storage devices, if you disconnect them during a write you WILL corrupt the drive -- hence the reason that Windows includes a safe eject capability that will stop a write and tell you when it is safe to disconnect. You can try some recovery software like Recuva, but most likely you will not get all the files if any.
