Hello!
I have 2 r9 290x gpus in my computer. I have 1 acer 1440p freesync monitor thats been great, hooked up to my top r9 290x. Ive recently pruchased a samsung 4k tv to use for a second display. Ive come to learn that the r9 290x does not display 4k 60hz 444 out of its hdmi port, so ive purchased a displayport to hdmi 2.0 adapter to run to the new tv.
can i use the display port on the second r9 290x with out running it in crossfire?
im not looking to use the crossfire feature since its almost useless in every game, but need to find a way to have both my 1440p and 4k 60hz monitor hooked up and functional at the same time.
not that it matters too much but here are the rest of my specs:
i7-6700k
32gb 3200mhz ddr4
1000wt psu
