Hi there, so I built my computer almost 3 years ago with these specs:

Processor: Intel Core i5-3470 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H Micro ATX LGA1155 Motherboard
RAM: Patriot Signature 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 2GB Video Card
Power: Cooler Master i600 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply
OS: Windows 7 64-bit

Over the last few weeks my computer has crashed to the blue screen a couple times, once while playing Runescape and twice while streaming from Kodi. One of those times it produced a looping buzzing sound, but not the other times. I decided to try to diagnose the problem, updated my graphics drivers and installed the Nvidia system monitor for Cpu usage. Once I updated the drivers and installed the monitor it started crashing 5-10 minutes after logging in, not even gaming or streaming. So i did a system restore to before I installed the drivers and now it is not happening as often, but a few times a day. I ran Furmark for 10 minutes and my card heated up to 95C so I stopped it immediately. I am in the process of talking to Nvidia to help me troubleshoot as well (my warranty is up in just over a week actually, so i'm hoping to diagnose this ASAP)

I ran memtest with 4 passes and found no problems, though i did not test them one at a time. I am going to try Prime95 tonight as suggested in other posts. I cleaned my system of dust a few weeks ago as well after this started happening. I have also run CCleaner and scanned with Malwarebytes/Adwcleaner and own the full version of Bitdefender security 2017 which have all found nothing.

Also worth noting about a month ago on Bitdefender it detected attacks from the Runescape website ONLY when my boyfriend was logged into his account, but it was every single link he clicked on. I checked my processes to find anything suspicious, i couldnt find anything. That was when I ran all the Malwarebytes/Adwcleaner and Bitdefender scans....nothing.

I am at a loss of what to do next, I am not really that tech savvy but have just been following tutorials to try to diagnose this problem.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

It says no crash dumps can be found, but that crash dumps are indeed enabled. I following their steps to enable full memory dump but it only gives me the options of small memory dump and kernel memory dump which is the one that is selected at the moment.

Go to c:/windows and look for a file "memory.dmp"

If not can you take a picture of the blue screen?
Or type it here? Specifically the file that caused it, the process below it and the technical information at the bottom.

Hmm There is no memory.dmp file. Funny enough, since i posted this it hasnt crashed again...I even re-updated my nvidia drivers to see if it would crash again and tried to play black desert online, but it still didnt. The only other thing I have done since this was posted was re-scan with adwcleaner which this time found Tap0901.sys under services and files and I had it removed. Its not taking as long to load my startup screen when I sign in now either. I'll see if it crashes again in the next few days and post a picture of the blue screen if it does, but is it possible this Tap0901.sys was the problem? Does anyone know if is it known to cause crashes like this?

My gpu heats up to 81-85C while playing black desert. And the cpu about 42C.

C:\Windows\SysNative\drivers\tap0901.sys

I have googled tap0901 crashes now, and apparently it can cause blue screen crashes. Still didn't have a crash yesterday either since that file has been removed. Before I had updated the Nvidia drivers originally (seemingly causing the persistent crashes 5-10 min after login) it only crashed about once a week though, so I guess only time will tell if this was the fix or not.
