Hi,

i have a dell poweredge t110 on which im using windows 7. problem is im not getting proper graphical view in this. the resolution is fixed to 1024x768 which is not supporting the monitor thus everything is very big to see also performance is slow. device manager is showing the display adapter named matrox g200eW.

is there any fix for it?

This is a looong list of drivers.
But in there, i would imagine, is a driver that will support your card, and work on windows 7.

As you say this problem seems to be happening with Windows 7 only, i feel as though one of those drivers could be the solution.

But its a long list... good luck.

if you have a old matrox, well, it is a old weak card, close to be 20 years old now

if system decided to use that driver, only thing you can do is replace it with another gpu

most times this gpu comes in the mainboard and only can be disabled, ideal to connect remotely and configure machines like servers or workstations, nothing more

that workstation/server has a pci express slot i think, put a real gpu in it and install drivers for it

Thanks. Thats oviously a solution, but I am just curious then why in the login screen of windows seven is fit to resolution perfectly and why then distorted after logging in? Beside, when the OS is server 2008 the video driver is not a problem at all and you get the resolution supported to the monitor.

Curious!!
