Hello Everyone,

Could anyone review this built and let me know if it's a decent build for 700-900. I'd like to get mouse and keyboard in there but it's not neccesary. Opinions are welcomed thank you.

(my first build for someone else so i'd like to look good) ;)

i can't recomend anyone to buy a am3 socket cpu this year, i would wait for ryzen r5 cpus if price and budget are real concerns

having said that

i would get a fx8350 and a gtx 1060 and 2x8gbs ddr3 kit but there your budget will change alot

the rest looks fine to me

Do you believe that G4560 will handle or should I bump up to a high end i3/i5?

It's for my brother, who wants to do some decent gaming. Just was hoping to keep it around 800 minus accessories.

i5 AND a 1060 3gb for just over $900:

Thanks a lot man, this really helps. This should run most games he would want to play at 30-60fps.

That will play most games on ultra at 60fps without a problem, on the very demanding games it will drop fps (or can drop settings) but it will be WAY WAY better then the 8300 with 1050 ti.

Any reason you went with a Micro ATX and MId tower or just cost?

You're the man, I always get weirded out by bronze standard PSU's but I always over buy on that. I trust you, random internet stranger. Thanks a lot.

Seasonic is top notch brand, no worries there.

The Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum is what rating it gets from the 80 Plus originatation for efficiency. 80+ bronze still means it is 87% efficent at 50% load.
Its not as "nice" as a gold edition but it is stlll a good PSU.

Besides those 80 plus ratings really have no mreasure on what quality the PSU is.
There are 80 plus gold psus that are actually part killing garbage.
When it comes to PSUs its whats inside that counts, not the sticker on the outside.

Build with better monitor, CPU, mobo, storage (After OS n software you're only gonna have 140GB of storage or so for other stuff with his build), and RAM.
The GPUs perform identically. but the RX 480 has an extra 1GB of VRAM and is cheaper.

Thanks for your input. I do like your build as well, only the HDD/SSD thing I can't change. He's fixated on speed and has multiple External HDD's that he can run things on. (Because he sees me do it). Looking at the two GPUs they look negligible but they price seems very close anyway. I have never had a radeon card so I have no experience on those but it's worth looking into. Also, thanks for the monitor input. I absolutely hate monitor shopping.
