Making a PC for a Minecraft Server.

I'm making a PC for a Minecraft server with Ubuntu and I'm wondering how many players it should be able to run.

Specs:
Intel Pentium G3260
MSI H81M-P33
Crucial CT102464BA160B (8GB)
Seagate ST500LM030 (500GB)
CoolMax I-500

Four easily, more might not be so smooth, if I had to guess. I'm assuming this is vanilla.

Why are you using Haswell?

Those components are low quality in areas and awful performance.

My budget is $150 - $200 and I was hoping it could hold around 100 players lol

Gonna need to be realistic here; there's no way in hell that's gonna happen. :/
Plus you have no experience building PCs or running a server, I think you should leave it to the guys with better budgets tbh, sorry....

Yeah, I'm great friend (used to be operator) with the admin on a server with 10, 60 slot servers. Each one is driven by an XEON with ridiculous core count, I believe 64 or more GB of RAM and the total cost of the farm is through the roof, at least if one was buying new.
