Hey guys, I have been having problems with my computer. I would never shut off my pc and one night I heard it restart, I think there was a system failure. It feels like ever since then my computer take ages to load, it takes about 15 minutes for the documents folder to open after pressing it. It really seems to me that it is a hard drive problem. If it is a hard drive issue, should I buy a new one and if I do what do I do about windows and all my files. In addition there is one more problem with my system I noticed in my bios that my 3.3V for my cpu is only reading about 2.98V and it is in read. I have an amd fx8320 and my motherboard is an asus m5a97 R2.0. And as i was typing this from my tablet my computer crashed and said reboot and select proper boot device.

Hello... if you have a HD vs SSD... it is a mechanical device that will wear out over time... Typically you just get a NEW drive and install your OS on it... after all OS settings are GOOD... Add the OLD Drive to the system for File Copy/transfer.

Thank you for the response! I think I will buy a new drive. Do you have any suggestions, and what do you think about the 3.3V cpu problem? In addition, will I have to buy windows again or will the same key work again?

Hello... Well Low PS voltage is a common problem, reporting software can be correct or not accurate... Look in your MB BIO's for reported Voltage too... Get/borrow a Multi-meter for a more accurate reading... typically drives will use the 5V or 12Vdc for operation... your MB will need the 3.3vdc.

Your OS license will be on the Microsoft's data base... you will have 30 days to activate the NEW OS... try to do it manually with the Key... if there is a problem? then give the PHONE number a call that is displayed... and they will give you a Number to type in.
