A10-9600p
New 7th Gen Bristol Ridge with DDR4 Dual channel 6 GB.

Quad-Core 2.4GHz base speed and turbos to 3.4GHz

Windows 10 64-bit
Radeon R5 Graphics
384MB Dedicated video memory
can use up to 3200MB of system video memory....

720 MHz core clock
does 900MHz memory clock speed.

memory bandwidth 29MB/s

Will performance be better with two balanced RAM DDR4 modules than the uneven 2GBx4GB sticks setup???

and if so,by how much increase in statistics and performance?ratio wise?percentage?

Q: Is it possible to upgrade my AMD A10-9600P CPU?
A: No. Processors like this one are soldered on a board, as a result, upgrading or replacing them is extremely difficult.

It seems you have more of an entry level laptop, not one of the high end or gaming models.
Whenever you use the integrated graphics on a CPU the amount of motherboard RAM can be an issue. This RAM is used by the iGPU in managing the graphics processes, so 6GB could definitely be an issue. You can check to see how the ram is being loaded in your Windows performance monitor.

The unbalanced ram sizes will produce little if any difference in performance.

I am going to upgrade to 8GB and have the 2GB stick removed and put in a same type or if possible same DDR4 4GB stick in it's place to even out the RAM.

I was just wondering what it would be like to have 8GB and would it do wonders?

A friend of mine that has done all laptops in a shop said 8GB on Dual Channel would do wonders...what did he mean by that?

Ram in dual channel setup can run upto @ 20% increase in performance over single channel.

Windows itself generally uses about 1.5Gb of ram. If you have all the options enabled like Aero, Cortana etc it can use about 2.5-3Gb of ram. This leaves roughly 3-4Gb of ram with your 6Gb single Channel setup. There are more than a few games that'll use as much as 5-8Gb of ram if it's available. Pretty much the only thing that'll need more than 16Gb of ram is ram intensive production apps like 3d rendering etc. So generally 16Gb is the top of the recommendation list, 8Gb being low end for budget systems.
This is also in a regular gaming style pc with a dedicated gpu. Being as you'll be using the igpu on the APU, not only having more ram being a good thing, but fast ram too. In a ddr3 mobo, those APU's did better with 2133MHz vrs 1600MHz, the 2133 not only being clocked faster, but had almost double the bandwidth, so no time losses due to queued data. With ddr4, it'll be the same, roughly.
I'd use at least 8Gb of the fastest ram the mobo will support, OC the cpu if necessary to achieve the speeds.
Your friend was right, 8Gb dual channel will do wonders, but it'll be mostly hidden from you. It'll be all the nickels and dimes that slow down a system will take a beating. Your fps will go up, temps lower slightly, in laptops battery life is extended due to cpu not working as hard, cpu usage lowers, graphics get a little sharper etc. It'll not be quite as obvious to you, but there will be many small side affects,.

I did alot of digging about my specific laptop and researched what I needed to know.
I am sure, although I do not see anywhere where it says the memory is soddered onto the motherboard.

I am sure the Dual Channel slots using the 2Gb Hynix and the 4GB Samsung is removable.

https://www.amazon.com/SAMSUNG-PC4-2133P-Laptop-Notebook-M471A5143DB0-CPB/dp/B01AAT3FA2

those two links are the sticks My system are using, the Part number and Serial number checks out...
I checked my BIOS for the info...and my pc system properties as well.

I am making plans....when I can afford the money to buy that one 4GB samsung....

However,I do not see anything about the memory being soddered or anything like that anywhere..

Operating System • Windows 10 Home
Processor • 7th Generation AMD A10-9600P APU
• Quad-Core
Processor Speed • 2.4GHz up to 3.3GHz
Processor Cache • 2MB L2 Cache
Memory • 6 GB DDR4 SDRAM (2 DIMM)
Accessible memory
slots
• Memory slot not user accessible

it says this in my pdf file of my laptops specs, but I do not believe it to be unaccesible...

I've never known ram to be soldered, only the cpu in some entry-level laptops. In high end and gaming pc's, they don't use the jaguar cpus, so can usually upgrade those. If you have a 2gb hynix and a 4gb Samsung, that's doubtfully the original ram. Either both would be hynix or both Samsung. Manufacturers don't mix and match when they have standing contracts.

now this has gotten my attention....I already know what to do now with the RAM...
but your saying my A10 Bristol Ridge cpu can be replaced with the next one up?
like the 9630p APU?
I know my laptop is 15 watt hour....

So,Is it possible to upgrade the APU and R5 Graphics?to save buying a new laptop?
(I just bought this recently last year for the 4th of july sale)

I am happy with it right now...

to make it easier I installed a exact same DDR4 stick and it increased my Dedicated RAM to 512MB.
my shared is 3823MB and my graphics is 4335MB.

I got a GB on shared and graphics memory and the dedicated went up 128 MB...not bad for same DDR4 sticks.
