OC Error after CD/DVD Drive Removal?

So here's what happened:

-Last Sunday, I took note of my old CD/DVD Drive no longer able to open/close automatically. It needs to be manually ejected. So I did uninstall the drive which I thought I would be no longer using in the future and decided to remove the cables connected to the CD/DVD Drive after uninstalling. I also replaced on of the case fans since the old case fan was not fancy (it got no led lights...)

-I powered up my CPU again and things seems normal; Fans are running, BIOS and windows loading and all that sorts. Then, me and my father watched a movie when it suddenly froze. I restarted my CPU a couple of times to no avail until such time that it started loading again and displayed the following error:

Warning!!! The previous overclocking had failed, and system will restore its default setting. Press any key to continue..

Press DEL key to enter Setup Menu, F11 to enter Boot Menu

-So I did press any key as instructed and it redirected me to BIOS Menu. I picked to load the defaults, tried both fails safe and optimized (since my computer now randomly freezing and I'm forced to restart) but my PC still freezing randomly.

-Last night, I used my PC again, took it roughly around 4 hours before it froze again. I restarted my PC to no avail. I went to sleep and tried restarting it this morning and it was functional. Ran it a couple of hours and it did not froze.

Concerns:
1.) My PC started freezing. I dont know the reason why.
2.) I was not told my PC was overclocked. People told me that I may have changed settings in BIOS but I did not. Tried to hard reset by taking out the battery for at least 5 minutes and putting it back but it did not resolve the problem of freezing.
3.) I took note that when trying to restart my PC, fans are running, no beeps just constant green and red light which were steady. No signal to monitor.

Solution
Reset the BIOS -
- Disconnect the power cable to the PC.
- Open the cover on the case and remove the button battery that is on the main board for a few seconds.

Put everything back together and see if it boots.

So this was a used PC?
