My friend recently formatted my laptop and now I am unable to connect it to the wifi . It is an HP envy m6 laptop. Password is correct as all other devices are being connected

There is usually a button on laptops which toggles on and off WiFi, you may have pressed it. Another possibility which may be more likeley is that you deleted the network adapter drivers when you formatted the drive. To get the drivers back on your laptop would have to use another PC which has access to the internet and download the network adapter drivers onto an external device which you can then plug back into your laptop and run.

To find out what network adapter driver you need, go to the motherboard manufactures website and find your model and they will usually list the driver in the downloads section.
