Hi Everyone! First time posting here. Apologies If i selected the incorrect category for the post, I didn't see a cooling category.
Now onto business.

So basically I just made my first jump into liquid cooling I upgraded both my case and my CPU cooler.
I am running an AMD FX 4170 CPU, I had been using the stock AMD cooler for quite a while and was having problems with it. The computer would regularly overheat while under load during gaming.
I recently purchased the Corsair H75 AIO liquid c

Now I currently have the radiator mounted in the front lower portion of the case with the fans oriented to pull air from outside the case through the radiator. Is this the most efficient setup for thermals? I have an Asus R9 280x graphics card (open shroud style) if that makes a difference.

My thinking is that with a top mounted radiator configured to pull air from outside the case down through the radiator along with fans in the front and back it will create a more consistent airflow pattern. I want to confirm whether or not this is correct.

Solution
Yes, having the radiator on the front of the case allows for cooler air to be drawn into the case, rather than warm air leaving it. Also keep in mind that warm air rises so pulling air from the top would be fighting against the laws of nature. Long story short, your current setup is the most thermally efficient setup.

that is true, however... by putting the radiator in the top he was implying using two additional intake fans in the front. that would draw in a significant amount of fresh air. it seems a lot of people put that specific cooler in the back of the case which makes no sense to me. if you do put it in the top you would obviously want to move it as far forward as possible, so that it's not directly above the cpu.
