bios update problem

Hello!

ok so it was stormy out and my computer was acting weird and i relisted my bios was 3 years out of date so i tried update the bios anyways when i was updating the bios the power went out now my computer will have all the fans spin up but i don't get any signal from my pc do i need to get a new motherboard or can i fix this

i don't know of any way to recover from this situation other than return to manufacturer to see if they can replace or apply bios update in a special way skipping bios or the simples and fastest one, buy another mainboard

also while you buy the new mainboard, buy a 650 watts ups, never, ever update bios without a ups, you know now why you need a ups

What is your motherboard?
Some motherboards have dual bios.
Some have replaceable bios chips.

yea i was thinking about geting a ups but i instead spent the money on the system also do you think a cmos reset would work and i can talk to the manufacture i bought the mobo used

my mobo is a asrock fatal1ty fx990 if that helps

the bios in this moment is dead

reset it should do nothing, but in this situation, you can't loose anything

buy the ups, no matter what, if you happen to have a miracle there with the bios reset, unplug all but one ram, hard disk, all that you can and try, if doesn't happen, buy the new mainboard
