fps drops after several minutes of playing

Hi guys,

FPS on games drop from 60 to below 20 after about half an hour of playing.
My rig is i7 4790k with asus gtx970 strix edition GPU, 16GB ram. With z97 Chipset asus motherboard.
powered by a FSP aurum s 600 80+gold
running windows 10.


what could possibly be wrong.

Sounds like Thermal Throttling on components. Could be the processor or gpu, would have to check using a program like MSI Afterburner, install the server and get the app on your mobile device and monitor your system as its running. It will give you detailed information as it updates.

I have the same exact problem. After some minutes I get fps drops , stuttering. Check your components temperatures for a start. I'm trying to find a solution as well for this.
