I'm currently rocking a HP w2207h, which is 1680x1050@60hz, 5ms response time and is 22".

This monitor is IPS, is 2560x1440@60hz, 7ms response time and is 27".

I game often, not as much as I used to but I still love to game (mainly playing H1Z1, The Witcher 3, GTA V and CS:GO). I also do a lot of video editing/production, programming and graphic designing, which is why I'm considering getting this monitor. Although, I am hoping to get back into gaming more often!

Should I go for it, or hold of for a few months and get a better monitor to upgrade to?

There is also an option of getting a 1080p 120hz monitor, but I assume the 27" monitor would be the better option as the 1440p and the large screen will definitely be significant with video editing and programming

*NOTE* I don't mind going for it and upgrading in the future, but I'd just like other people's opinion as to whether it'd be a good choice for what I'd use it for :)

Thanks for reading!

I personally use a QNIX 1440p, very similar, both coming from Korea, and I think it's a great monitor especially for the money.

The extra screen real estate really helps with productivity. I also agree that at 27" 1440p is the way to go.

Thanks for the reply!

Do you think one 27" 1440p 60Hz monitor is better than two 24" 1080p 120Hz monitors?

I would say so, I have my 27" as my main and then a 19" 1600x900 monitor as a secondary. The 1440p is nice because it's wide enough to have two full screen application open side by side. Combine that with a second monitor and it's like having three.
