Hey guys, now, i know this has been posted a few times before, but my system doesnt match anyone else with this issue.
I'm getting lag spikes in about half my games (at least the majority that i play..) now when the spikes happen my cpu spikes to 100%, the gpu drops to 30-40%, fps at around 3-10 and it lasts approximately 3-5 seconds then goes back to being completely normal gameplay, i run every game at max settings. which i should realistically be able to. A 6600k shouldnt be bottlenecking with a 1080 should it? :/
To eliminate some of your answers here is what i've tried to solve the issue:
- Removed overclocking.
- Checked CPU/GPU temps they are completely fine
- Run Malwarebytes and Antivirus (no issue)
- Run games on lower settings
Games Effected: For Honor, Ghost Recon: Wildlands, Heroes of the Storm, BF1, Steep.
Thats all i can really remember. really need some help solving this issue as it is greatly affecting my performance in competitive games and is unbelievably frustrating. thanks to anyone who is able to offer some help
Cheers.
