PWM current on corsair h55 liquid CPU cooler

I was wondering which would be better to run my h55 CPU cooler on. My motherboard has 2 settings one is DC and the other is PWM and if it's on dc it outputs a green led and if it's the other it puts a red led my motherboard and build are black and red so it looks silly is it safe and viable to run the CPU pump and fan on PWM? Will this harm the components of my cooler or make its performance less? Thank you

Probably leave it in PWM Mode. That way the system will receive a fixed 12 VDC on Pin #2, IF it needs that. It may not really matter. The manual I downloaded does not specify this at all.
