I'm from Croatia, so the parts selection is not good as in USA or UK...
Still, have assembled as follows, it seems webshop again received motherboard:

XFX XXX power supply 650W (I already have it)
ASUS ROG Crosshair VI Hero
AMD Ryzen 1700 box
ARCTIC COOLING Liquid Freezer 240
SSD Intel 600p M2 256GB
G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 2x8GB 3000 MHZ
RX480 Nitro Sapphire 8GB
HDD 1TB WD Blue
Case: Fractal Design Define R5
MS Windows 10 64-bit Cro

Intention is to overclock 1700 to at least 3.7 GHz, and suppose it should be able to reach 3.9 with this cooling without problems.

I have 24" Dell monitor, don't play much at the moment but suppose will surely do it more. Think RX480 should be sufficient. Once I will take bigger monitor, within few years, will just replace GPU with something more powerful.

Would you consider this build to be well made and somewhat future proof? If you any recommendations, you're welcome and I will take all suggestions seriously.

The purchase will be most likely made on Monday or Tuesday latest (unless CPU or MBO become unavailable again).

Solution
The 1700 will go to 3.9Ghz so you're good on that side, I've got an i5 4460 @ 3.2 Ghz and that works just fine.
An RX480 is also good. Replacing it later depends on if you need extra horsepower. The most important thing when you build a PC, make sure that the core components are strong enough. So CPU and Motherboard mainly.

With your build everything seems to be fine. A good CPU and Motherboard, PSU, RAM and GPU are good. Having an SSD for the OS and the HDD for games and programs is always good.

Overall you have a good build going here. The only thing that will hold you back is the GPU.

Hope this helps. :)
Have fun and good luck!

You should check ASUS QVL listing because I don't think that the 3000Mhz Gskill Ripjaws V is in it. Ad I remember seeing the Ripjaws 4 3000Mhz has its Ryzen speed supported at just 2133.

At this stage of compatibility, using RAM not in QVL listing with Ryzen is not recommended.

BIOS updates will lift the limitation of 2133mhz as higher speed ram favours the Ryzen architecture

Thanks for the replies and suggestions!
GSkill Ripjaws V on 3.000 MHz is indeed not on QVL list, however same was last updated on 02.03.
There is support for GSkill 3.200 or 2.133 MHz.
Suppose that should be solved in the near future? Really don't have too many DDR4 RAM options here at 3.000 MHz or above.
