Hello guys

I am looking forward to build my first pc. So, there are few questions i have in mind

1) My budget for gpu is around 21000 ruppees or USD 320
The options i have are Galax Gtx 1060 6gb (all the others are way too high)
and the other is MSI rx 470 8gb.

The ambient temperature is about is 30 celsius so think msi will be better (will be 60 celsius acc to them) but gtx 1060 will be better. The temperature of this 1060 reaches 70 on full load. Is that safe and what is the safety limit.

2)Within half a year i will be able to buy another rx 470 so cf is an option. Th psu i hav chosen is cooler master masterwatt elite 500W. I would like your views regarding it

i want good 1080p gaming at 40-60 fps and future proof for another 4-5 yrs.

Thanks in advance

I would choose the GTX 1060 6 GB, over the RX 470. I wasn't entirely sure about the model PSU you were considering, so I looked it up on the PSU tier list (below). If this is the one that you're considering then I would skip it and opt for a better quality unit. Could you list the website that you plan on purchasing your power supply from and your budget for it, and we'll help you pick something out.

Cooler Master Elite II 550w (technically a 500w unit, maybe a typo from design department) Unknown OEM. Possibly HEC Compucase

Tier Four

Built down to a low price. Not exactly the most stable units ever created. Very basic safety circuitry or even thin gauge wiring used. Not for gaming rigs or overclocking systems of any...

Gtx 1060 will be better than the Rx470 (why not the 480?)
At 30* ambient it won't matter. They downclock around 85* I believe and actual limit is 90*

Lowest I would go is 600w for Rx crossfire and looks for a better unit.

An rx 480 costs nearly about 5000 ruppes more (1 USD is 66 ruppees) and from some reviews i have understood that they consume lots of power and produce lot of heat. MSI, Sapphire and Gigabyte the available versions but since latter two dont provide good cooling i am have to settle for rx 470

Anyway acc to benchmarks the fps difference between 480 and 470 is not great.

I want a gpu with decent cooling and since a 1060 produces less heating, i have decided to choose that gpu. From price point amd sucks at pricing in india due to which both 1060 and 480 of tier 1 company are priced the same almost

As for the psu, my budget is 6000 ruppees so a psu cost around 45-50 dollars will be within my reach. The psu should be sufficient for mild overclocking as my aim is to play the lastest games at 40-60 fps at high/ultra settings. Please recommend any good psu if u have in mind

Acc to the pc wattage calculator the recommended wattage is under 400W but it is hard to find below 500W psu in India so if possible cud to recommend below 500 and above 500 watt psu both. I will have to visit the shops for less than 500W psu

BTW Thank u for replying so quick
