Computer Won't Start with Graphics Card Installed

Hello,

I know questions similar to this have been posted in the past, but I feel like my situation is unique.

A few days ago I was playing a video game on my computer when all of a sudden my computer turned off. The power to the rest of my setup (Monitors, speakers, etc.) did not lose power. I decided the best thing to do was to switch off the power supply, unplug my system, and then plug it back in (to a wall outlet this time instead of a power bar), switch back on the PSU, and try to start it up using the power button.

When I pushed the power button, the computer did not start up. The fan at the top of my case began to spin, but only spun a few degrees before it stopped. I began to suspect my PSU had perhaps failed, so I opened up the case to check all my connections (All PSU connections as well as all hardware connections including my graphics cards, RAM, etc.). The green LED indicating power to the MoBo was on when I opened it, but I still switched the PSU off and checked. I found no connections to be lose.

I then came to this forum and searched for problems similar to mine. However, in my case there was no change in hardware. I read the sticky post containing the troubleshooting steps for being unable to boot, but none of those changes did anything.

To more clearly see what the problem was, I began to remove components from my computer. Before I began by removing all the components and starting from just the CPU and MoBo, I decided I would remove the graphics card and try booting without it. The system booted just fine, albeit on integrated graphics, without the graphics card inserted.

I then inserted the card again and tested the boot, but it wouldn't boot again. Without the card it boots fine. I tried replacing the PCI-E power cable from my PSU to the card, but the issue persists. I've even tried with a new, higher capacity PSU and the problem persists.

Hopefully someone can offer some insight into what's going on here. Basically when I try to boot with my graphics card installed I get a tiny bit of fan rotation before everything goes dead again (MoBo power light is always on).

Thanks for your time and help.

all you can do it try another known working card in your compurter to see if it will boot if it does maybe the card failed if it don't ???? [a like card with same power requirements if you can]

or if you got a buddy to test your card in his computer try that if it boot and works as normal then it may not be the card and something else like PSU or motherboard failure

you got to come up with some kinda process of elimination .
