I may soon be wanting to upgrade to a fiber connection. If I upgrade today what will be streaming the connection to my wireless devices, and how will I hook it up to my pc's ethernet port. Would I just get new hardware for the fiber optic connection from the company I buy from?

This depends on what ISP provides the fiber connection. Usually the fiber terminates at an optical network terminal (ONT) provided by the ISP, then to a gateway/router. If the ISP doesn't provided a wireless router, you would need to purchase your own.
It''s best to contact the ISP directly about what exactly is provided.
