Do you need to install a cpu for the hdmi dvid vga ports to work. everything else is installed besides os & of course cpu. thanks

If you don't have a CPU you cannot POST.

The CPU is essentially the brain of your computer, without it nothing is possible, NOTHING.

Yes, the CPU coordinates all other pieces so they will work together. No CPU, nothing will work properly.
