I've a G500 laptop and wanted to upgrade its Ram from 3GB to 6GB, according to the manual it supports 2x SODIMM up to 8GB Max DDR3, 800/1066MHz.
Now I find only Ram of 1600MHz, but I understood from your posts that the Ram will be be automatically downclocked, but I want to know, if I put that Ram again to a new laptop I'm going to buy in the next few months, would it need some kind of a fix..?!
