I have a unique problem. I was running win 7 ultimate x64 and I have an entire network drive full of movies and games. almost a terrabyte on a WD network drive. Last week I lost the hardrive on my PC. It was 7 +years old and has only been powered down a few times. I ran it to death.

I ahd an old hard drive that already had win 7 32 on it so i put it in and updated windows through windows update per normal.

Now I can not retrive files from my network drive without getting the Error 0x800700DF: The file size exceeds the limit allowed and cannot be saved. This problem did not exist before as i freely transferred files back and forth of all sizes. 30mb-30 gb. I tried the registry change and it didnt change a thing: same problem. Even microsoft's "fix it for me" app didn't work.
