Dear community!

I recently purchased an xilence chipset cooler for my gigabyte 970 mobo since the northbridge chipset was running on 85 degrees C under OC load.
To protect the small parts around the surface meant to be cooled on the chip I used the adhesive thermal patch included in the box of the cooler (no instructions though).

My question is:
Can the glue on the adhesive patch short and fry the little components? Is that kind of glue conductive?

Thanks for the help!

Thank you for the answer! My concern was that maybe it's supposed to go with the adhesive side towards the heat sink... But that would make it impossible to place it properly so I guess I'm safe.
Thanks again

My thoghts exactly, but I have never seen a more unconventional shape ever. Its like bending in the worst possible directions... But if this wont stick I will try to getto-mod it with the fan only
