So here is my situation, I have a 2TB external drive full of media and I need to delete the data from it and after 10 minutes retrieve it back without any data loss and the reason is personal. I did try recuva on some files on my computer but it doesn't recover all data back as some of them are unplayable after recovery for which I wonder why as there is no way some other data can possibly be written on them. The way data mechanism works if I understand it correctly is once you delete the data from the drive then it should be recoverable given that you din't add any data on that drive and given its not a system drive but its not working out with Recuva.

Is there any better methods then recover methods as my objective is delete everything from 2TB external drive and then after 10 minutes try to retrieve every single media back.

Please do let me know.

To my knowledge, you are only able to use 3rd party programs to recover data after it has been deleted or the drive has been formatted and there is no guarantee that the data will be there 100%. I understand that you want to do this for personal reasons, but this seems ridiculous and pointless.

well in theory that is rightm if you delete something and the only action you perform is launch a recovery software you should be able to acess the data again.

thing is, that hold true if you write nothing on the drive in question, problem is external drives often after am actions was done on them (such as deleting a files) windows rescans the information and write to the drive tables... and that is the reason why some data will be lost.

Unfortunately, I haven't got any that I would prefer over another since I don't need them. However, if you want more than just a few gigabytes of data, you will have to pay a decent amount for a fully licensed program. Being that you want to recover 2TB, you will be needing a fully licensed product. Cheapest I've seen for this case are about $70 starting out and go upwards of $500 depending on the program and the plan you buy.
